Extra Credit Option

Halloween is the perfect time for chemistry magic.

One of the chemistry demos will be exploding pumpkins.
I am offering 10 points of lab credit for bringing in a carved pumpkin.

There are some guidelines:
1. The inside of the pumpkin must be cleaned out very well.
2. The pumpkin needs to be able to sit up on its own and have a flat bottom inside.
3. The carved pieces need to be saved and placed back into the pumpkin,
For example, you can cut out a nose, but then put the nose right back in.We need tight seals, so the gas of the reaction does not escape!
4. The lid needs to fit tightly and not fall in.

I cannot promise that all of the pumpkins will be used.
We will do as many as time allows.

The Magic Show will be during every period of the day because we are inviting the biology students to join the chemistry classes for the day.

It will be a fun day! I hope everyone will be able to attend!
